Google's Gemini assistant recently got an update that includes a new Personal Intelligence feature. This feature allows the chatbot to tailor its answers based on information from users' Google accounts. Additionally, the tech company has added a new function to its AI assistant to provide quicker replies for users. This feature is called Answer Now, and it gives users immediate responses. Users can see this feature next to the spinning status indicator when using Gemini 3 Pro and Gemini 3 Thinking/Flash. However, it doesn't seem to be available in the Fast model. The company has included an Answer Now button in Gemini (as reported by 9to5Google). When users ask questions with the Gemini 3 Pro or Gemini 3 Thinking (Gemini 3 Flash) models, they can see the "Answer Now" option beside the spinning status while Gemini is preparing an answer. This button is absent in the Fast (Gemini 3 Flash) model.

As the name implies, pushing the Answer Now button leads to a confirmation that says Gemini is “skipping in-depth thinking” and provides a quick reply. Based on the three-dot overflow menu at the end of the answer, Gemini still uses the chosen model to create the reply instead of switching to the Fast model. Google is said to be rolling out the Answer Now feature to all users of the Gemini app, whether they are free or paid, on Android, iOS, and the Web. The company recently added the Personal Intelligence feature to the Gemini app. When this feature is on, it connects data from apps like Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos, which helps Gemini give more personalized answers. Users can choose which apps to link to this optional feature, like Gmail, Photos, YouTube, and Search, and they can turn off access whenever they want. According to the company, Gemini will also mention the sources used from the connected apps.
