The iQOO 15R is set to be released in India shortly, as the company shared on Tuesday. This model is expected to be the second one in the iQOO 15 series, coming after the flagship iQOO 15 that was launched in November 2025. The company has not disclosed any specific information about the new phone, but teaser images show that it will have two rear cameras. The iQOO 15R is confirmed to have a back panel with a checkered design. Nipun Marya, the CEO of iQOO India, hinted at the iQOO 15R's launch in a post on X. However, the exact launch date remains a mystery, with the post stating it is "Coming Soon. " The teaser image shows a square camera setup with rounded corners, resembling the flagship iQOO 15. An LED flash is located next to the camera area. The back of the iQOO 15R displays a checkered pattern with multiple color tones. This new device is shown in a grey shade. Antenna bands are visible above and below the power and volume buttons, located on the right side of the device. In addition, this smartphone has curved edges.
The teaser also indicates that the iQOO 15R will use OriginOS, which was launched with the flagship iQOO 15 in November. Although this is not officially confirmed, it might run on OriginOS 6, based on Android 16. Reports suggest that the iQOO 15R could be a renamed version of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which is expected to launch in China soon. It may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, which is also used in the OnePlus 15R and the upcoming Motorola Signature in India. In China, the iQOO Z11 Turbo is confirmed to have a 6.59-inch display. It will include a 200-megapixel main camera on the back that offers “ultra-clear” images. The phone will also have a metal body, a glass back, and rounded edges. The iQOO Z11 Turbo is expected to provide IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, as well as an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for security.
