US President Donald Trump continued his journey to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, just hours after a "small electrical problem" caused his airplane to go back to its base in Maryland. Air Force One returned to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland as a precaution, according to Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. The plane landed shortly after 11 pm local time after flying for about an hour and 20 minutes. Reporters traveling with Trump noted that the cabin lights went out for a short time after they took off, according to the news agency AFP. Trump and his team continued their trip to the World Economic Forum after changing to a different airplane. He took off two and a half hours later than he first planned. He is set to arrive on Wednesday and depart on Thursday. "America will be well represented in Davos — by me. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! " Trump posted on his social media site, Truth Social, before leaving.

Trump is anticipated to meet with "various groups" in Davos regarding his interest in acquiring Greenland, which he confirmed on Tuesday. "I have agreed to meet with the various groups in Davos, Switzerland," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. "As I have made clear to everyone, Greenland is crucial for National and World Security. There is no going back - everyone agrees on this! " Hours before he was scheduled to go to the World Economic Forum, Trump was asked how far he would go for Greenland. He simply replied, "You will find out.""We have numerous meetings lined up about Greenland, and I believe things will turn out positively," Trump told reporters regarding his meetings in Davos. Trump has repeatedly stated that the US requires Greenland "for national security, not for resources. ""If you look at Greenland, you see Russian and Chinese ships up and down the coast everywhere. We need it for national security. We must have it," Trump mentioned to reporters in Palm Beach, Florida.

Nevertheless, the leadership of Greenland has made it clear that the island is not for sale. In a recent discussion at the European Union's governing body, European Parliament Member Anders Vistisen addressed Trump directly, telling him to "f off" since Greenland was not available for purchase. "Dear President Trump, listen closely. Greenland has been part of the Danish nation for 800 years. It is a connected country. It is not for sale," he stated. Vistisen further added, "Let me phrase this in a way you might understand: Mr President, f off."
