
A boy,16 was shot on a bike path in Milton near the Central Avenue MBTA station, Massachusetts State Police said.
According to the State police, they responded at 5:45 p.m. to reports of a shooting on a path behind the Ryan Playground off River Street in Mattapan.
The unidentified teenager was rushed to Boston Medical Center to be treated and is expected to recover from the gunshot wound.
The incident is being investigating by the Department of Conservation and Recreation. No arrests have been made and the motive for the shooting hasn't been determined yet, police said.
The Milton police said in a statement, that, “There is currently no danger to the community.”
