The OnePlus Nord 5 series, including the Nord CE 5 mid-range model, was launched in India on Tuesday. The new Nord series uses both Snapdragon and MediaTek chips, along with an AMOLED display and a fast-charging battery, and it includes a charger, as well as the OxygenOS software. OnePlus is releasing its first Nord phone without the usual alert slider; instead, it has a Plus key that was first seen on the OnePlus 13s model earlier this year. In India, prices begin at Rs 31,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB version and go up to Rs 34,999 and Rs 37,999 for the 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB models. The Nord CE 5 costs Rs 24,999 for the standard 8GB + 128GB version, Rs 26,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, and Rs 28,999 for the 12GB + 256GB version. OnePlus intends to start selling the Nord 5 in India starting on July 9, and the Nord CE 5 will be available beginning July 12 in the country.

The Nord 5 has a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen that refreshes at 144Hz, but the Nord CE 5 comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen that refreshes at 120Hz. The Nord 5 has a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, with as much as 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space. The Nord CE 5 comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex SoC and also has up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Both Nord phones use OxygenOS based on Android 15 right when you buy them, and they will get several software and security updates. The Plus Key turns on the new AI features and different ways to customize things on the Nord 5. For cameras, the Nord 5 has two cameras on the back, including a 50MP main camera like the OnePlus 13s and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. In the same way, the Nord CE 5 also has a 50MP wide lens and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera on the Nord 5 has a 50MP sensor, while the Nord CE 5 features a 16MP camera for selfies. Another big improvement is in how big the batteries are; the Nord 5 has a 6,800mAh battery, and the Nord CE 5 has an even bigger 7,100mAh battery. Both phones allow for 80W fast wired charging. The Nord 5 is 8.1mm thick and weighs 211 grams, but the Nord CE 5 is 8.2mm thick and weighs 199 grams, even though it has a bigger battery.
