It was a reunion unlike any other. The survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing lined up in the early morning hours of April 6 at the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street for a photo session that they would remember for days to come.
With 15 more days to go for this year's marathon, a rare photo shoot was organized by The Boston Globe that united the survivors from the 2013 Marathon bombings together with the kith and kin of those who killed or injured in the blast.
Apart from them, the event was graced by a was of famous faces from the politics, sports and entertainment as well.
The overhead photographs taken by The Globe will be published in the following weeks.
Red Sox slugger David Ortiz was joined at the shoot by officials including Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and US Attorney Carmen Ortiz.
Governor Deval Patrick also attended the shoot as well as spoke to the group that included many injured in the bombings.
