From the past few days, there was a buzz going around that South Indian popular actress, Trisha would soon join politics by enrolling herself in the ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu. Even the present Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalitha, was a popular actress during her times before foraying into politics.
A picture in which Trisha is seen sharing stage with J Jayalalithaa prompted gossip mongers to speculate that she is all set to join the AIADMK. As cinema and politics go hand in hand in Tamil Nadu, the speculation of the actress joining politics did not come as a surprise.
Nevertheless, the South Indian actress has denied the claim. “Contrary to recent reports…NO I am not joining politics.Not now n not in the near future…I rest my case ;)”, Trisha posted online.
Trisha’s current Projects
Right now Trisha is busy with a bunch of movies. They include Kamal Haasan’s ‘Thoongavanam’, ‘RUM’, ‘Bhogi’, ‘Boologam’ etc. Trisha staring ‘Sakalakala Vallavan’ opposite Jayam Ravi will be released this Friday.
Additionally, sources said that Trisha is in talks to sign a movie with a mega budget in Telugu. The film would be directed by a top director in the industry and the lead role would be played by a top star.
