2025 started with exciting hits across various categories like Chhaava and Saiyaara. Little did anyone expect that Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar would emerge as a strong rival, concluding the year on a high note. The film featuring Ranveer Singh not only performed exceptionally well at the box office but also secured a place among the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films in history. In India, Dhurandhar’s earnings reached Rs 619.30 crore by Wednesday morning. Globally, its total gross has propelled Dhurandhar to the 9th position with an impressive Rs 925.28 crore, now placing it ahead of Animal, which is at 10th with Rs 917.82 crore. Within just 19 days of its release, Dhurandhar has crossed the Rs 600 crore mark in India. As per Jio Studios, Dhurandhar made Rs 20.40 crore on the 19th day since its release, bringing its net income in the domestic box office to Rs 619.3 crore. Dhurandhar started off strongly, raking in Rs 103 crore over its opening weekend, with Rs 28 crore on Friday, Rs 32 crore on Saturday, and Rs 43 crore on Sunday. This positive trend continued into the weekdays with Rs 23.25 crore on Monday and Rs 27 crore on Tuesday, pushing the total beyond Rs 150 crore. With Rs 27 crore on both Wednesday and Thursday, the total for the first week reached Rs 207.25 crore. The second Friday saw an addition of Rs 32.5 crore, followed by a significant rise over the weekend—Rs 53 crore on Saturday and Rs 58 crore on Sunday. The weekdays remained strong with Rs 30.5 crore on Monday, Rs 30 crore on Tuesday, Rs 25.5 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 23 crore on Thursday, December 18. The third weekend contributed Rs 22.5 crore on Friday, Rs 34.25 crore on Saturday, and Rs 38.5 crore on Sunday, bringing the cumulative total to Rs 555.75 crore. On December 22, earnings on the third Monday fell slightly to Rs 16.5 crore.

According to Jio Studios, the overall box office revenue of Dhurandhar in India as of Wednesday morning is Rs 619.3 crore (nett). It is also titled the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide for 2025, outpacing Rishab Shetty's Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1 and Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. In addition to Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar also features Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi in vital roles. The movie's sequel is slated for release on March 19, 2026.
