A man wanted for shooting in Boston was arrested on Friday morning at a apartment building in Chicopee, along with another man wanted by the police.
Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told to 22News that their detectives, patrol, and narcotics officers assisted the U.S. Marshals and also Boston police in serving a “high risk warrant” at the 597 Chicopee Street. Wilk said that they had received a word Jonathan Whigham, aged 29, of Dorchester was at an apartment in Chicopee.
Whigham was wanted on a Roxbury District Court warrant on the charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and also kidnapping, as well as on the firearms charges.
Wilk said that police were able to take Whigham into custody at the Chicopee Street building at around 9:00 A.M. Wilk said that, while they were there, police found Tyquan Harris, aged 26. Harris was wanted out of Roxbury and Boston courts on the warrants for threat to commit a crime, assault and also battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a class B substance, and also other chargers. Harris was also wanted on a warrant out of Richmond, Virginia.
Both Whigham and Harris were arraigned on Friday in Chicopee District Court.
