About Rachna Bodas:
Rachna will be accompanied by Gaurisankar Karmakar on the Tabla and Ramchandra Joshi on the Harmonium.
Rachna represents the sixth generation of Gwalior Gharana - from the lineage of Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar, a visionary musician who in 1890’s traveled extensively in India and established the 1st Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in 1901 in Lahore and was instrumental in bringing prestige and status to Classical music. Rachna was born in a musical family - her father Shri Ravi Shankar Shukla, was an accomplished tabla player in Kanpur.
